One or the other

Wow, has it really been three weeks since my last post? Either my life is completely lame because I have nothing to write about, or my life is completely busy and I don't have time to write a post. One or the other... or both.

I apologize once again to the two of you that actually read this. I am not sure what to post and what not to post here. Part of me wants to pour out my soul here (cause I have no where else to do it), and the other part of me says "Keep it all in." I am working on some issues; I appreciate your patience.

The teaching thing is still going rather well. I can tell a difference in how I feel about it by how much I prepare for class. If I prepare, I feel that class goes well. If I don't prepare, I struggle through class and get apathetic. I guess that means I should prepare more. However, I have the hardest time finding time to do that. If you want to take a look at my schedule (I can pencil you in if you want to hang out), it is here: calendar.msn.com/ryanschierholz@hotmail.com

Work is going well too. I have been here about 45 days and feel pretty comfortable. I was talking with a manager (as we took the 30 minute walk to the parking lot), and he said that the managers really don't look at our performance stats (metrics) until we have been there 90 days. I already feel pretty good and it has only been 45, so that is good. One of the metrics is number of calls taken; I was number 2 last week! One of my SMEs (Subject Matter Experts) was very impressed. I also have not had any negative surveys returned, and am number 2 on that list!

And the last 3rd of my life is the FRAT. That is going well so far too; we have pledge night on Saturday where we take the boys up the Pikes Peak incline, and then make them do manly stuff. The rest of the night will be spent at the church having the boys pledge to a group in the FRAT, watching movies, eating pizza, and playing games. My group (with my buddy Josh K) will be Delta Tau. Since being in the FRAT, I have learned a bit about Greek culture. The names of the fraternity's and sororities actually mean stuff! Delta Tau is our name because it is the first Greek characters for the Greek words that come from the English words "Strength & Honor." Josh and I decided our group would be this because of the phrase from Gladiator. We want to teach the boys how to be men, how to grow in physical strength, and have honesty, integrity, and honor. I hope that explains it well.

I guess after not having much to write about, I did manage to fill this up. I will try to be more diligent in writing more often. Thanks for your patience.

Ciao.
