Riding on the wheels of change

I have been working on a post about summer camp (complete with pictures), but have been a bit side tracked.

My car is dead. The other day I noticed an odd noise and the engine idling a bit weird. Looking under the hood revealed some parts not quite where they are suppose to be. I was able to drive it to the mechanic, only to have him tell me I will need a new engine. A new engine in a car sounds a bit extreme to me ... why not just get a new car?! Well, that is the question in my mind. Should I buy a new engine or get a new(er) car? That's it for now; if you have any pearls of wisdom, leave them here.

Why does everything have to do with money?!
