"Go unto all the world..."

Friends, family, dedicated readers, & new visitors,

Thank you all for always being so faithful to read my blogs, make comments, and send me encouraging emails. I am going to take a break from the usual blog posts and try something new. This is the only time you will see a post like this; I am going to ask for you help.

I am writing to share what God has been doing in my life this past year, and the exciting ministry opportunities I have been blessed with.

I have continued to be involved in leadership with _tag, the high school youth group at New Life Church. I spend time mentoring and discipling the young men and women. Last year, as you may recall, I was given the opportunity to be an assistant leader of a mission trip to India! That was one of the most exciting times of my life, and I loved it. This year, the youth group has been learning about how to put actions to their word. They are learning that it is important to not only talk about God and our Savior, Jesus, but to share Him with others, and to live a life that is sold out for Christ. In rhythm with that, the youth department has decided to forgo a camp this summer and instead focus our efforts outward. Therefore, hundreds of students are going on mission trips this summer, starting in our own backyard, Colorado Springs and Denver. We also have teams going to LA, Mexico, and Germany, and I have been given another amazing opportunity to lead one of those trips, and not just any trip, but a trip to Germany! Praise God. We will be flying to Frankfurt on June 23rd and traveling down to Nurnberg. We will spend the first 10 days there before traveling back to Frankfurt for the remaining days, returning to the states on July 7th.

Millions of people from around the world will pour into Germany for the 2006 World Cup this summer, and we're going straight to the heart of the action. We're partnering with YWAM and several local churches to reach out not only to the Germans, but to all the international visitors as well. _tag will take multiple teams to play soccer with local youth, do street evangelism, minister in cafes and markets, prayer walk, host evangelistic services, and assist local churches. This will be a rare opportunity to work with and minister to young people from nearly every country in the world! This will be fun and exciting, but not something I take lightly and I cannot do it without your support.

Most importantly I need your prayers. With Germany teeming with teens from around the world, it is a strategic opportunity to reach thousands. There are several teams going to Germany, so I am unsure what exactly my team will be doing, but I will keep you updated along the journey. We desire to accomplish so much, but we will be able to accomplish much more when we have the leading of the Holy Spirit and are covered in prayer.

Secondly, I could use (and would greatly appreciate) your financial support. The cost for the trip is $2590, which will cover airfare, food, travel, and ministry supplies. Please pray about it, and if you are led to help financially use the " Make a Donation" button to the right, or you can go to http://tagonline.tv and click on "Donate to _tag missions" to use the youth group website to support us.

Thank you for being such a blessing to me and partnering with me to expand the Kingdom of God. May God bless you as you have blessed me. Again, thank you and God bless!

P.S. I will post a blog with more trip details and specific prayer requests as departure is closer, and a final post after our return with pictures.
